Pre-Convention CORE Pesticide Safety Workshop

A Pre-Convention Workshop for Pesticide Applicators to gain CORE Credits towards their license will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025 in the afternoon from 2:00-4:00PM. Licensed applicators must accumulate 8 CORE Credits over a 5-year period to maintain their NJDEP Pesticide Applicators License. This workshop will offer 4 CORE Credits. Pre-registration is requested and can be found on the VGANJ website at https://vganj.com. Registration cost is $25 per person and non-refundable. Registration for this workshop is separate from the convention registration. The topics include: Pesticide Safety – Personal Protection Equipment for the Pesticide Applicator;Update on US EPA Worker Protection Standards; Storage, Tank Mixing, Tank Cleaning, and Disposal; Pesticide Record Keeping and Notification. FSMA Produce Safety Rule Growers Training

The FSMA Produce Safety Rule Growers Training will take place on Thursday, February 6th, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM at the New Jersey Agricultural Convention and Trade Show at Harrah's in Atlantic City. This $50 training fulfills FDA requirements, includes a certificate upon completion, and covers topics like produce safety, worker hygiene, and water management; participants must pre-register and stay for the entire session.

Stop The Bleed!

Stop The Bleed!

The "Stop the Bleed" workshop on Thursday, February 6th at the NJ Agricultural Convention and Trade Show will teach participants hands-on bleeding control skills to address preventable deaths caused by farm-related injuries. Limited to 30 participants, the workshop includes training materials, in-person instruction, and a free bleeding control kit upon completion.
